Acts 21: Knowing the Cost - October 4, 2020

 We're back inside every Sunday at 10:30am at Blomkest Baptist Church. We're going to mask up, spread out, and worship together indoors. For those who can't make it on Sundays, the goal is to have our Sunday sermon pre-recorded and posted here every Sunday, otherwise it can be found on our YouTube channel. 

This week, we're looking at Acts 21 (click here for the text), and we're going to see Paul walking in obedience to the Holy Spirit while knowing it's going to cost him. Think about the trust that it takes to carry that out, and the surrender necessary...but also the God who is loving enough to bring him through it.

As we continue into our series in the book of Acts, we come to an unexpected transformation of a man named Saul. When we first met Saul, he was overseeing the murder of Stephen. At the beginning of chapter nine , he's breathing murderous threats and rounding up followers of Jesus (with the approval of the high priests). Surely, he was an enemy of the early church. A Brief Update About Website Updates

Until this post, our website hadn't been updated in nearly a year.  We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope to post more videos from our sermons shortly. We are currently in a series in Philippians, and would love to explore that letter to an early church with you. On September 2, 2021, Pastor Jeff's wife passed away because of complications around leukemia and its treatment. The result was that the updates of this website were not as high of a priority until his schedule could become more consistent, and the timing worked better to dedicate time to updates.
