Hebrews 6: Promises and Hope

Image
As we look at Hebrews 6, we have to look back at what the chapter references in terms of God's promise and faithfulness to Abraham. Sometimes God doesn't fulfill his promises right away. Sometimes it's easy to get discouraged. Sometimes we are tempted to wander to other potential saviors. Hebrews 6 pleads with its audience to not lose hope, but instead to remember the faithfulness of God. Want to follow along in Hebrews 6? Click here. Want more information or have a prayer request? We're into our fifth week in our series on the book of Hebrews, which means we are into chapter 5 .  This chapter begins some of the tougher portions of the New Testament, and we're going to see the author of Hebrews make comparisons of previous high priests with Jesus, as well as the warning for our need to grow in our faith.  If you want to connect with us, email us by clicking here .

Hebrews 3: Home & Rest

Image
We're looking into Hebrews 3 this week.  There's going to be a lot of repetition throughout Hebrews 3 and 4, with the main theme being keeping our hearts soft to the voice and call of God so that we can enter into his rest, which is our home. We also see that God makes his home with us, which should cause our hearts to overflow with praise.  There are also warnings within the next two chapters about the consequences of disobedience and letting our hearts stray from God's commands and love. As we read, watch and learn from the examples that the author gives from the story of Exodus.  If you want more information about our church, email us here . We're online only this week because of the dangerous cold weather, but we'll be back live and in person at 10:30AM at our little church at 204 South Main Street in Blomkest, MN.
